Have you ever seen a rocket launch? I went to Tanegashima when I was third year of junior high school in spring vacation. I have been loved space since I was in elementary school, and I have wanted to see the launch. My mother took me there to celebrate my graduation.  Fortunately, it was postponed for one day. The rocket that launched straight was cool. The sound of the launch was also amazing. I was very impressed.  My mother returned early for work. So I went back to Hiroshima alone. I remember being tried of traveling for a long time. But it was a good experience.  I want to go see the launch again!

I got car license in august. So I took a 2 night 3 days drive trip with my friend. On the first day, we went to Shimane prefecture. I went to AQUAS and Iwami Ginzan. It rained a lot, but I enjoyed Iwami Ginzan, which I visited for the first time. On the second day, we visited Izumo Shrine, Tottori Sand Dunes, Daisen. At night, I looked up at the night sky at Daisen. We was excited to see the meteor. On the third day, we visited Matsue Castle. We could climb to the top floor and the castle was beautiful. I enjoyed the delicious local rice and the pleasant hot spring. I plan drive trip around Shikoku during spring vacation. I want spring vacation to come soon.

I am a member of HUES. HUSE is a team of Hiroshima University that builds the aircraft for the bird human contest. The contest is held every summer at Lake Biwa. There is 5 teams: wing, flame, electrical equipment, fairing, propeller. I am in the flame team. I am having fun with my seniors and working hard.  The aircraft weighs only about 40 kilograms, and the pilot rows and turns the propeller. The main materials of it are Styrofoam and carbon. So it is very light. The aircraft will be exhibited at the school festival. And we are planning a test fly on December 11th. I am very looking forward to it. I will continue to do my best to participate in the contest.

Have you ever heard "Super-Kamiokande"? It is observatory of Cerenkov radiation. I like this observatory because it is very very big while what researcher observe is very very small ,large scale and the appearance of this observatory is so cool!  This facility located in Kamioka Town, City, Gifu Prefecture and in 1000 meters underground. It can block radio waves, cosmic background radiation and so on so that observations will not be hindered by making it underground. It can save 50000 liter, and there is about 13000 photomultiplier tube. And it is expected in neutrino research. Actually, Japan is the most advanced neutrino research in the world! Someday I want to visit there. And Hyper-Kamiokande is under construction. Experiment are scheduled to begin in 2027. So I am very excited.

I have been interested in space since I was in the third grade of elementary school. So I read many books about space. When I was junior high school, I knew the physicist, Stephen William Hawking. I respect him. He researched pure physics, astronomy. And he is famous for ”wheelchair physicist". It was because he was ALS; it is serious disease. He was told by the doctor that  he could live only for 2 years. However he live 50 years after he was told that. He researched hard on his lifetime while he has a handicap.  When I was high student, I was surprised to hear the news of his death. I was sad, but want to do my best like him. I pray he is sleeping peacefully in heaven. 

     I will introduce my favorite movie, The Sound of Music. This movie was released in 1965. This story set in Austria during World War Ⅱ. This movie is musical, so music is great. I like ”My Favorite Things”. This song is  popular, so you may have heard. Recently I watched back this movie. I noticed a lot of things that I did not notice when I saw them in my childhood, and I learned a lot. So I want you to watch this movie. If you have seen it, I want you to see it again.

     I have been to Florida and Hawaii. When I was first year high school, I went to Florida. The purpose of trip was to go to NASA. I have loved space since I was in elementary school and I have wanted to go to there, so I was so happy. I could meet and talk Mike, who was involved Apollo project. And I could see real space shuttle. I went to Disney World, too. I enjoyed the STAR WARS parade.       I went to Hawaii when I was High school junior on our school trip. I ate a big steak every day. On the first day, lunch and dinner was steak! I was surprised. It was fun to buy a lot of souvenirs. I want to go to America once again!

Today I listened to Haggling over Prices. They talked about haggling over prices. When I bought something expensive in the future, I would like to try to negotiate prices. I often watch YouTube and advertising banner is indicated. People are sometimes brainwashed by music. I am unacceptable to eat hornworm. The objective of sleep is to rest my body. My mother always negotiates prices at home electronics mass retailer.

 I'm Kodama Kumi. I'm form Shobara City in Hiroshima.   I introduce my hometown, Shobara. Shobara City is located in the north of Hiroshima Prefecture. Bihoku Hillside Park is famous and the winter illumination are very beautiful. I'd like to go there with my college friends in this winter! It takes 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Saijo, so please drive with your friends!    And Hibagon is also famous. It is unidentified creatures and looks like monkey. It was found in 1970 and became national news.  And sweet called Hibagon's egg are delicious, so if you go to Shobara, buy them and try them.
